Spectra II is high-speed tabletop printer that prints at high resolution on label rolls.
This is the top of the line model – nothing less! The printer is a sturdy, high-quality label printer that prints on labels of paper or plastic and on textiles or nameplates. It can also print labels with a wearable weatherproof and chemical-resistant substrate.
To use Spectra II, first you design a label layout (in NiceLabel, for instance). Then you set a roll of labels in the printer and transfer the label layout to the printer, either via a USB drive or direct from the computer in which you designed the label. Finally, you select the number of labels you need and press ‘print’.
The printer has a 6.5″ touchscreen with an intuitive control panel that makes printer operation fast and easy. The printing process is also fast, up to 350 mm/sec. In addition, the printer is easy to operate and highly reliable – even in harsh production environments. The printer cabinet and printing mechanism are made of high-quality materials.
Spectra II comes in nine different versions with resolutions from 200–600 dpi. The different models can handle label widths from 15–216.8 mm and label lengths from 6–6000 mm. They are available for thermal transfer printing (using transfer ribbons) and thermal printing directly on thermal labels. Printing speeds from 100–350 mm/second.
Spectra II is available with both a flathead and a near-edge print head.
Models 107/12 and 160/12 have a built-in ribbon-saving system that minimises consumption of transfer ribbon. The ribbon-saving module is available as an optional accessory for the other models.
The printer comes with multiple I/O interfaces, enabling USB or Ethernet connection, that can be connected to WLAN.
You can supplement the printer various accessories, such as a barcode scanner, label cutter, a dispenser that pulls the label almost entirely off the backing paper (for manual label application). An internal rewinder is available for rewinding the label web after printing (rolls of up to a maximum of Ø200 mm) so the labels can be used in a label dispenser. A foot pedal is also available for signalling the printer to print the next label.
