Eagle is a modern, flexible and reliable printer with printing widths of up to 107 mm.
The printer is ideal for printing detailed, high-resolution nutritional information due to its large print area:
- 107 x 300 mm (continuous)
- 107 x 75 mm (intermittent)
It prints at speeds of up to 500 prints/minute at 300 dpi and at up to 800 mm/sec. (intermittent) 1000 mm/sec. (continuous).
This results in razor-sharp prints, a popular feature in many sectors in the areas of food, coffee, snacks, confectionery, baked goods, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
A thermal transfer printer has a print head comprising a series of semi-conductors that – when energised with electrical current – become instantly hot (and cool again), thereby transferring ink from the thermal transfer film to the packing film or labels to form prints.
You design the print in a software program. You can select batch numbers, logos, graphics, barcodes, dates and texts. The design is transferred to the printer via a USB drive or network and you can transfer information from databases. The designs are prepared using a label software program such as CLARiSOFT® or NiceLabel.
If the printer is installed in a production line, such as a packing machine, it is set up to receive a starting signal when the product is in position.
It can handle film rolls up to 1,200 metres long and features Ribbon Save, which minimises the use of printing film, as only the exact amount of used transfer ribbon is advanced.
The printer has a reliable, tried-and-tested, clutchless ribbon drive and one of the simplest film-cassette designs on the market. This makes the replacement of printing film rolls fast and easy. And no compressed air is needed. It is available in both right-hand and left-hand execution.
Maintenance is simple as the primary wearing part is the print head, which is fast and easy to replace.
